I shot some stuff for a client.. Even though the QT Proxy box was checkmarked, for some reason, half of the footage did not come packaged with the usual QT Proxy files.. We sent our microphones directly into the camera.

Now, how do we get this audio out of our R3D?

    :)

Sorry. I'm afraid you will have to wait for audio support in RedCine. I've been waiting over a month to get audio from an hour and a half long clip (interview) that is missing QT proxies....

I thought there was a way to regenerate QT proxies outside the camera. Can Red Alert! do this?

I'm pretty sure Red Alert will strip out the audio no matter what.

Red alert can regenerate the files but it does so with the _NA (No Audio) extension to avoid overwriting the audio files.

I'd call support. They must have some way to help you retrieve the audio and generate proxies for you--even if it is off of an alpha build that they run for you.
