Hey buddy, congrats too. Let me know what do you think of it? did you face any problems in post with it as we did when we first got it?
Used it on a few bits and None as of yet. Should we be watching for something in particular?
We have 2 Reds , both with the same firmware, only 1 is MX. I tried doing several comparison tests. What we found out is that we are getting a yellowish tone on the MX image if we used the FCP workflow either converting it to prores or openning the r3d's in color. But when we use redcine and export the yellow tone disappears.
How bizarre. Havent noticed anything like that yet. In exactly the same boat as you, 2 cameras one MX one non MX, both build 30.
Have you downloaded the quicktime fix?
