    What's up with that?

I was really looking forward to today's keynote but alas it's all iPhone, which looks freaking awesome BTW.

Come on guys the WWDC image of ever spiraling iphone app icons and the idea that OS 10 apps couldn't be nominated for design awards was a pretty big tip off that we wouldn't see much if anything in terms of mac updates.
Not to mention they haven't really talked about mac pro updates on stage since they announced the mac pro in the first place.

Yeah, hoping for an announcement during the conference.

Writing this on my iPad while talking on my iPhone admiring my Mac Book Pro. Is it too much to ask to replace my tired Mac Pro?

Last I heard Apple was still waiting for the ramp-up of availability of the processors from Intel for the next update, and that wasn't supposed to happen till closer to the end of the month. I doubt we have to wait all that much longer.

The Mac Pro has been without an update for 15 months, and the MBP is a consumer machine at this point. I'm worried.

The MacPro is certainly at least partly at the mercy of the availability of the new Intel chips. In the past, there have been occurrences of delays of new MacPros due to low/non existent chip supplies, if I'm not mistaken. And perhaps, hopefully!, this will be a new generation of MacPro that will be optimized to work synergistically with Snow Leopard which has yet to show it's teeth....imagine a 12 core computer with an optimized architecture made to work with Grand Central Dispatch for instance....

I worried to. Even a glimmer of info would give me hope

I've been holding off on buying 5 new towers for a few months.

Can't wait much longer... Really don't want to look at the dark side.....

I'd build a hackintosh before going back to the Dark Side...

i've played with building some hackintosh - not so stable with a redrocket, or protools HD cards.... But really wanted it to work.

    might have to try harder
