Though not revolutionary, it beats the hell out of working on an apple box.

Anyone who's ever sat in/operated from these great chairs, fee free to chime in. I'm ordering one this week, and remember how comfy they were when we used to have them back in my rental house days. Makes the usual Telescope chairs seem pretty crappy by comparison.

    Wow.. $350 though?

I have a Quiklok D-749 that I use as an all purpose chair that I bring on location.

It's a little heavy and a bit crudely built, but it very rugged and the weight helps to keep it from moving too easily.

I got mine on sale for $89. I think B&H sells them for $95.

I dig that seat too, never seen one on set, kinda looks like one of those massage chairs.

Yeah the hollywood chair is expensive, that's it's only drawback as I can see.

The Quiklok is made more for performing musicians but I found it to be useful for film work too. It may not be Hollywood film crew approved but it does the job!

That Bamboo chair is much nicer.

I like all the accessories you can get for the chair as well, including the little bag that hangs below the seat.

How is that musician's stool side-to-side when seated up high? Seems narrow and potentially wobbly, and although I need to lose weight, according to the specs I was reading I exceed the weight limit for it anyway!
