Every single thing in this industry needs appropriate time for development.

Probably it's the same with Epic/Scarlet firmware.

I feel pretty good and comfortable with MX upgrade anyway.

As I said around NAB 2011 or even later if it takes more time to fix all the things.

    So for me no rush.

Good to have you back Jim. Good to keep up with the honesty too. Would have loved to have a cam in hand this year but since the euro tanked anyway I can easily wait a bit longer. Keep up the good fight - it is so incredibly important what your team does - thank you.

I know how frustrating and difficult it can be to try and track issues down in massively complicated codebases - our main product at work is something like six million lines! Working with firmware is even worse, since it's harder to debug too I'll bet... I hope you get it as soon as possible.
Stephen... you have no idea how complicated this program is. I had no idea how complicated it would be. If you look at what the "other guys" are doing... and they are trained professionals.

Life is short. People are measured by what they do... and not what they say they are going to do. So trust me when I tell you I will not rest until we do what I said we will do.

Thanks for the update Jim and welcome back! As the only Mysterium-X sensor camera currently in Japan, we're in a good position to ride out the delay. I'm confident it will be in the order of 1-2 months only, not 5-6 months. With an additional SWAT team in place to debug (no doubt specialists all) I'm sure you'll find it quickly and emerge stronger as a result.

    Cheers and good health!

    Hi Jim,
As dissappointing as it is to hear of a new delay I'm sure others will agree that we want a camera that is the best it can be and works flawlessly from day one. So any problems that are fixed now rather than post release are a blessing even if they mean waiting a bit longer to get our hands on the camera. I still think it's admirable that a company can keep it's clients and potential clients informed on such a base level. Suprisingly there are still many others that could learn from such openness.

Personally I'm happy waiting. I have a good product in the RedOne that still earns its keep and can shoot great footage. This isn't like the wait for the Red One!

    Good luck fixing it.

Nothing motivates me like a post from Ace.

    Jim

Well rest a little bit Jim, the moment the cameras are finally out in the wild we'll need you online for every minutia of questions to be answered - and some of them not even sensible!
