Any one know why we got the new ELPAC power packs? Are we not supposed to use the old ones with the new sensor?

With the MX upgrade, you need the new power supply so I guess the MX sensor pulls more power.

Like the MX blast email says, we feel the new gen ELPAC is better than the old so everyone with an MX camera upgrade gets that as an added (and free) bonus. Does not mean new gen "works" and prior gen "does not work". It means old gen was "good" but new is "better".

    Thanks Brent.

Just wanted to make sure if my MX camera gets plugged into an old power it won't blow something.

    You guys rock!

Stop making rumors. The new elpacs have been around for a bit. MX cameras power fine off the old elpacs.
    cheers

I have an alpaca based shoot coming up, so I'd like this confirmed.

Also... as the Alpacas will be moving, how long an extension cord can I use?
