Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of the theft of computers and the shiny prototype shell from the RED offices in Lake Forest.

We couldn't have any information on it at the time. It was an on-going investigation. And RED offered $100,000 anybody who gave information leading to apprehension of the person or persons responsible.

Last we heard, the shell was recovered but the computers were not.

I met somebody random in Korea who produces large event dance parties and we were talking about the cameras he uses to cover the events and Red got mentioned. He asked, "Isn't that the super digital camera that got stolen from their headquarters..." :)

I smalltalked with Graeme about the stolen prototype at the IBC. He told me, that they actually put the aluminium body on ebay.
As long as I remember, the one you put it up on ebay just bought it somewhere else. Turned out to be simple thieves, which stole mainly computers from offices around.
