    i missed it, damn.
did nobody asked about the debayering process?
will there be a SDK, so debayering can be done with GPU instead of CPU.
Dunno, guess the scarlet buyers will have a hard time buying a red rocket.

    any news?

debayering is done through CPU asfaik.
thats the reason why you need monster computers to play back r3d files at higher resolutions (full debayer for example).....or apps supporting rocket for playback.

It has been said more than once in the past couple months; NO. I don't see it changing either. Most everyone has made Stage-2 / 3 decisions accordingly.

As for questions on debayer / SDK...

Debayer is done on the CPU for now. Graeme has said in the recent past that current GPUs don't offer an advantage here, but they are always watching GPU development and considering new things. IMO, it makes no sense to do a serious effort to support GPU acceleration until OpenCL becomes more robust. And systems like Adobe's Mercury Engine show that CPUs are massively effective, if only software developers bother to use more than one or two effectively. Even Mercury still could squeeze a lot more out a system's CPUs.

There will be an updated SDK to support the new file formats / Epic cameras, etc.. before cameras ship out.
