Thanks for the sharing footage files.

Amazing RED shots and also LA City panorama.

Thanks for sharing, really nice footage!
Gosh, I would love having enough cash to put that zoom red lens in my package.

I don't think they need any hard-core tech analysis.

    Simply gorgeous...

Looks nice, but hard on my graphics card on the G5 to play it.. stutters bigtime. What are the minimum kind of specs you'd need for the Red and some of this glorious footage to play smooth... Maybe it'll be time for a Mac Pro soon enough.

2k runs fine (h264 and prores) on my macbook pro 2.33.

John, thanks for posting this at 2k by the way. It looks amazing. Like everyone else I'd love to see a 4k still of the city or even better, the holy grail of Red One: two sequential 4k tifs so we can finally see what happens from frame to frame.

justyn, a G5 should play this video fine.. I doubt it's your graphics card that's holding you back unless it has other issues, even if it's a lowly R9600. You may have something else -- another application soaking up resources, faulty QT installation or outdated software. Or an overloaded and/or really slow hard drive.

OTOH, if you have a 1.6GHz G5 iMac, then you may have some trouble. :)
