We just got in the new RED/DSC labs RED Cambook Test Charts.

We worked closely DSC labs to make the perfect group of test charts for use with the RED camera.

as well as 2 framing charts ( one of them with a 18% grey background) that cover 2:1, HD and 4.5k Wide formats unique to the RED.

Price is $425 for the book, will be in the RED.com store by the end of the day monday.

Hmmm, but a chart like this is still useful even if you don't have a Red yet, right?

For the Red camera, the ChromaDuMonde chart makes for a great color reference. Shooting the chart in each lighting set up can help the color correction process significantly.

If you are using an RGB camera(s), DSC color charts allow you to match cameras and set color using a vectorscope.

This video has been around for a while.

I paid over $1,500.00 for my senior size chart, so this book (with its additional 6 over-saturated color chips) is a great value.

    Can I take it underwater?

(okay, I know I can take it underwater - but would it be any good AFTER I take it underwater?)

Wouldn't it be cool if a camera was smart enough to know when it is looking at a test/calibration chart as ask the operator if they wanted it to calibrate to it?

Wouldn't it be cool if the DSP in a camera was smart enough that when looking at a frame chart it would ask the operator if they wanted it to take out the lens distortions to make the lines straight?
