Been climbing mountains the last few days and filming an amazing samurai master. Here are a few more still captures from the Red footage. As before, shot at 4KHD on Mysterium-X with Canon EF lenses and Birger mount. The amount of dynamic range coupled with the high resolution is astonishing! All filmed at Redcode 28 no less! Anyone who's filmed in a forest knows how much dynamic range you need to have to hold both highlights and shadows. Red M-X accomplished it with ease and allowed me to choose my T-stop and shutter angle for creative control vs needing wide open aperture at 1/50th to gather enough light....

    Amazing...
I hope that RED Scarlet Fixed can do (almost) the same IQ.
Can you (if you are allowed) just post a Full Size image of the first deer ?
    Thanks
Everyone is very occupied with tomorrow, next week, next month, next year.
Just today, we forget to be happy. Every day again, be happy, today, be happy...
    The sunset was wonderful...

Great work. Love the lighting on the last fellow sitting on a rock in the woods.

Great Paul. What shutter speed did you use for the sword shoot?

Gorgeous! I particularly love the sunset shot and the man sitting on the rock. I can't wait to see this program.

Some nice work for sure... Do you notice much quality
difference inbetween Canon zooms and primes ?...and
are certain primes sizes sharper than others..?
