  1. #1 Cartoni Master Tripod for Red?
Hey, guys. I've been playing around with different Red tripod configurations. I have a little cash to spend on a decent tripod now, so I've been looking into the different brands around. I was going to stick with O'Connor, but someone told me about the Cartoni Master Fluid heads. I went on their site & the head looks amazing. Does anyone have any experience with Cartonis? Please let me know. I saw a nice used one on ebay. How does this look? Here's the link: Cartoni Master Fluid Tripod Head. Does it work well with the Red? Pros? Cons? Thanks for your help.

JW. We use a number of Cartoni fluid heads and tripods. Never a problem. Further, some O'Conner stalwarts who've used my equipment are now fans. I like the regidity of the heavy Cartoni tripods and heads. I have both their Master and Sigma systems. What I like best about their offerings are their dollies that are very smooth and can track with fixed wheels or free moving.

I use Cartoni too. Rigid as a machine gun. Their stuff before tripods, did you know?

I have it. It is beautiful. You can put the heaviest lens on Earth on it an you will still have a feeling that your camera setup is 1/2 kg.
Cons: It is not for run&gun. It is big and heavy for that.
Pros: Very precize and easy to setup. And ofcorse better performance for the bucks than competition. ( at least in Europe)

Thanks for the reply, guys. This forum is super useful. I bought the Master on eBay & it works like a charm. Smooth pans & built like a truck. Highly recommended! I saw another one on sale for anyone else interested in it. Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/Cartoni-Master-F...item4cf18b31fd. Thanks!
