I just came back from Cinema Today 2010 exhibition.
ARRI has launched their 1st ALEXA in India.
The press release says.."digital cameras for feature, television, commercial, documentary, music video production and more....." I dont know what is this MORE means.. marriage/event video or something?.
I have seen lot of event video guys and Photographers crowding around the camera. Their placement looks quite confusing. They are not calling it as Digital Cinema Camera. Quite surprising!

Corporate events? Corporate training productions? Live concert production? Stock footage? I can think of quite a few things that don't fall under the banners you mentioned (or, to be more precise, that Arri mentioned....).

Agreed. RED ONE is shooting footage for all of those genre's. A digital cinema camera does not have to be constrained to cinematic productions.
