    Looks nice.
Cool that it is even possible!

Curious as to how he handles all the custom obstacles we seem to learn a lot about here. OLPF. IR. Reset. But 64 fps is... you know... Varicam'ish, and that's fine for a lot of use...

And software and... I start sweating just trying to imagine.

Sounds like a good alternative to that Swedish cam that hasn't materialized yet...

Otis is and engineer who apparently designs and builds custom digital imaging systems for a variety of applications.
Obviously a challenging undertaking to design a digital cinema camera, but he does seem to be taking the most efficient, open hardware, simple system approach.

@ 10000 a shot including lens-mount, media, batteries and monitor, he probably could sell a boatload of these. 2/3" is no longer the holy grail of indie filmmakers, but for 3D and a lot of other applications, it is still very cool.

    Reminder to myself:
    Dot get too intrigued!

It would be a godsend to the the open source community. Not the camera, but the components, code, and knowledge. You might even start to see custom cameras take off.

Scarlet 2/3" with 2 large batteries, charger, monitor, and media for 2 hours of recording might be at the same price as the Drama kit.
