If you were at NAB and got to see the early version of Storm your already excited. For those of you waiting keep your eyes on the Storm blog. I can say I have been working with the Foundry on it and just like Nuke and the other Foundry products its hard to find a company that listens to users this well(except RED)
All I can say for now is if your at IBC you will be thrilled with the development from NAB to what shows in Sept.

Every build gets me more excited! Trust me when I say ... I'm TORTURING the Foundry guys with feature requests. This is the app to watch for sure - but the reality is ... it's not going to get exciting until it's in the hands of Redusers. Good news is ... release date will be announced at IBC - and I think everyone will be rather excited about how the Foundry is going to roll this out.

Yeah looks very promising even for me that I'm just beginning to scratch the surface of learning Editing, and have the FCS suit, and just got the Production Premium suit, but this looks cool as hell, even so I don't get half of it, ah ha.

I was at the Foundry talking to the developers last week, as I am also one of the advisors to the project. Things are coming along really well, and they have some great ideas for the way it is going to develop. Expect exciting news at IBC.

I couldn't agree more with Mark and Nick. It looks very promising and the level of user input they yearn for is unequal to any other company I've collaborated with. As with Nuke they're building a tool that will function as the users, not the engineers, would like it to work. It is also very much aimed at the professional, which is welcome in a market that seems to be increasingly aimed at the advanced consumer.

So will this work as a standalone app, as well as integrated into apps as a plugin?

Will it work alongside After Affects? If so will it be integrated into it like Color Finesse where it opens in its own User Interface.

Yes it can work along side any of your other apps. How far the integration goes you will have to wait and see.
No this is not a Color correction specific application it has many workflow related options and features.
Yes it has its own UI.
You can see some images on the blog
