More info here: http://code.google.com/p/opencolorio/OpenColorIO (OCIO) is a new open source project from Sony Imageworks. Based on development started in 2003, OCIO enables color transforms and image display to be handled in a consistent manner across multiple graphics applications. Unlike other color management solutions, OCIO is geared towards motion-picture post production, with an emphasis on visual effects and animation color pipelines.
Here's a thread that talks about the input device profiles they currently have planned; apparently, they have not characterized the RED camera:
(Quote taken from here: http://groups.google.com/group/ocio-...5e4c7de270cb8#)[Sony Imageworks is] gonna ship all input device profiles we've got, not just log/lin. The only camera we've never characterized is RED, so we'd have to leave that to someone else. (Or could adapt the nuke one for use in our environment).
Can any of our RED colorists help with this? They have profiles for the Sony F35 and similar. It would be great to have an "official" RED profile.
