Cool, I can't wait to try a set out... I'm glad they are in a smart range of focal lengths and I'm glad they are T1.3

Well, you're giving me a good idea... LOL I hadn't thought to consider to make business with. But if the demand will justify... It seems that's the best option to any RED shooter, so it should be a great chance for any professional. After all, I'm used to pay my taxes (on time). ;-)
RED primes have /i and they are "not made by Cooke".
Elites are great, very nice glass, but mechanically inferior to Zeiss.

sounds interesting although very vague on pricing so can't be taking to seriously until all details are known.
Much cheaper than Zeiss could still be twice the price of RED.
These people are decent suppliers. They don't just want to make deceit on us as their future customers. They can't know how much will be the price reaching the streets. This is an ambitious project. They're not taking high profits like it happens with Zeiss or Arri, for instance. This is actually a brand for indies, not more not less.
However, there's another thread where it already was advanced an estimated figure during the first informal talks preceding this launch. The price can be not so low than what each one of us would like to have. Strictly from the buyer/payer's POV. Nevertheless, I can advance that have been referred some figures below the half of the Zeiss price. Definitely substantially below the Elite's price. Even 'cause the Elite's price is in Euros. And this is russian glass, made there. But organized from the United States (it's your territory folks!) where the promotors are also based.
So, we can all have an idea about what we should expect next March.
