I am selling my custom made RED hard case. This case holds all of your Red accessories as well as a built camera. You can also put a lens in it. I spent over $850 and several hours of design work for this case.

The photos show how well the Red and accessories fit in the case. Please be advised that it is only the case for sale, the Red equipment is so you can see how well it all fits. The case includes a keyed lock, two latches, 3 handles, wheels, and a pull handle that tucks away when not in use. It makes moving it around a breeze.

I would like to get $575 plus shipping for the case, but will consider offers.

Please take a look at the photos.

    Thanks,

    Shane

I never weighed it, but it would change drastically based on how much you packed into it. I took it in and out of my lifted Excursion by myself with very little effort. I would guess it probably runs in the 40 - 60 pound range with it loaded.

I would prefer to sell this case in the Los Angeles area, but if I have no LA takers I will think about shipping it to one of those who have already expressed interest out of state.

Shane, I suspect that dino g asked about weight not with regard to shipping if purchased, but probably with regard to airline travel on shoots. At least, my first thought when I saw your thread shortly after you posted it was, "It looks like a really nice case, but I wonder what it weighs as pictured, with the gear in it." Based on my decades of air travel with camera gear, the weight of the completed and loaded case would be a primary consideration if I were to design or plan a camera case from scratch.

you are correct, that was why i asked the question...will it be under 100 lbs when fully loaded?

Ok, So I weighed the case empty. The total weight of the case is 41.2 pounds, if you figure the camera, drives, accessories, lens, LCD, and EVF add another 25 to 30 pounds you are looking at around 60 - 70 pounds loaded.

I hope this gives you a better idea. This case is very solid and protects the Red and accessories perfectly.

    Thanks,

    Shane

OK So I have been busy, and not put much effort in selling this custom case. I am bumping this to see if there is anyone out in the REDVERSE that wants a great case for their RED 1 camera and all of the accessories. Keep in mind this case allows you to keep the camera pretty much built all the time. No more having to put all the rail system on and off every time you want to use it.
LEt me know if there is any interest out there. I will put it up on Craigslist and Ebay if it doesn't sell in the next few days.

    Thanks,

    SHane
