    Hi
    could you please tell me any one how to take RED ONE Firmware Backup to CF Card. Before updating new Firmware i want to take Backup Existing Firmware

    I think it's useless to have a firmware backup from the camera itself. You can download it to from the support page and keep a copy in your hard drive for the future (or into a CF card for easy access in the field).

    If what you want to save are all the changes you did through the menus: as I remember, you can export them through the menus to a SD card (the look you have, your user preferences an so on) and then import them (through the same menus) once installed the new firmware.

    Hope this helps. Anyway, except for the look part, I prefer to always have a full pass through the menus when I've installed a new firmware or when I start a new project 'cause I had R1 sometimes change to defaults (don't know the reason). That's, at least, what I'd like to check first when the camera is turned on (thank that RED display show you all the important info to get it with one glance, except for the look, what, again, is the beauty of RAW, you can dial it again in RedCine-X!!).
