    Hi
I have just recieved my red rocket card and have tried every single combination of driver and firmware that everyone has suggested and there is still no performance difference in using the card or not.

I have a HP z400 quad core 3ghz with 6 gig ram runnning vista 64 bit business edition on Avid MC v5.03 with mojo DX. Im running avid unity fibre.
Even on local storage there is no diffence. A 30sec clip is taking 3:30 to suck in. I have checked all settings including the debayer setting.

    i have currently installed V1.3.2.c

I tried putting the rocket card in my 2 mac pros without the fibre cards and the same thing happens. Red rocket CINE (Anyversion) wont work either!

Is there a way of testing to see if i have a faulty card as both mac and PC say the card is working both through device manager and the mac one.

HELP this card is less than a day old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try Redcine X to see if the card is working. Also, when you launch Media Composer, look in the console and there is a line in there about the Rocket card if it sees it.

You may have a mis-match of Rocket firmware and drivers as your Rocket firmware is not the current version -- should be 1.3.3. Download the latest Rocket installer and install both the driver and firmware. Full shut-down, then restart.

You may also have a PCIe address conflict or a slot configuration problem.

i originally tried that and no difference. I am noticing the line in my avid console now about the red rocket card. (Missed it earlier). Avid dont support 1.3.3 apparently but i have tried it and the card is inserted into slot 4. I also have a fibre card installed but thats it. Can i pay someone in australia to come and sort it out for me as I dont personally have time to do it. I have a few big jobs on that im about to shoot (ON RED!!) and i really would prefer some one to come to my office at lane cove NSW and sort it out. I THINK SOMEONE AT RED NEED TO THINK ABOUT OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS AND SELL TO A DEALER SO WE CAN GET PROPER ON SITE SUPPORT RATHER THAN HAVING TO GO ONLINE AND GO THROUGH FORUMS!!. I have 10 avids / unity etc and when running a business of that size you really need support from a dealer network.

Make sure you are in a x8 slot for the card.

On an HP z400, put the Rocket card in slot 4.

Adam, you may need to roll back to older drivers. I don't have Avid on any workstation I'm close to, so can't test. But since you mention it doesn't support 1.3.3, that's ringing a bell and it seems you may need to go back to older firmware and drivers for it to work. I'll see what I can find out later today.

Slots 3 & 4 in the z400 should both be ideal for the Rocket card.

Best thing to do is probably get the Rocket completely up to date and see if Redcine-X builds 262 and 321 will work. Then go from there if you need to downgrade. RocketCine is EOL and will not work with any recent firmware and drivers.
