The fall is back and so are we. We will have more announcements this week.
The next time around we'll have a presentation by Jason Goodman and Ivan Stamatovski of 21 Century 3D, the leading manufacturer of stereoscopic camera rigs. Their BX3 stereoscopic 3D beam splitter rig features a superior optical quality mirror for near distortion free image acquisition. The BX3 rig is also one of the lightest multipurpose 3D rigs on the market.
Maxx Digital, a cutting edge company focused on providing a large array of storage solutions for video editing and audio editing will show storage solutions for RED workflows.
Steve Ecclesine a veteran indie producer will present a three part lecture on the nuts and bolts of producing films and TV shows. Steve has worked for several big shots, most of the studios and networks on big and small productions. It’s a chance to learn from someone who has been there and done that. Highly recommended for starting producers and indie filmmakers.
We will have copies of Steve's book "So You Wanna Be a Producer?" available for purchase and three lucky door prize winners will each receive a copy.
Steve will be taking questions between the sessions.

RED pioneer Michael Cioni will present a seminar on RED on-set workflows. His recent RED film and TV work includes "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Social Network", " How I Spent My Summer Vacation" and "Undercovers" for NBC.
Michael will demo LiVE PLAY, an iPad based live monitoring, playback, metadata logging and transfer tool. This is an exclusive demo for the RED LAUG members, few people have seen this groundbreaking new device.
Nebtek will demo Qtake HD, the advanced HD video assist system. Qtake HD is capable of uncompressed capture, playback and processing of both planar and stereoscopic picture. This demo will focus on the latest features and the 3D muxer module.
Impact AV is an audio and video production service and equipment provider to the motion picture industry. They will also show their Qtake HD and tell us about their recent work on "Pirates of the Caribbean 4", "Spider Man 4" as well as commercials for Target, Chevy, Mini Cooper, Honda, Panasonic.
After directing two feature films Randy Morgan has gone back to making a short film "Your Number's Up." This great dark comedy was shot on RED ONE. Randy and the cinematographer Paolo Cascio will take your questions and discuss the film.
There is limited parking on the top of the building, but there is plenty of street parking. The meeting is held at Kappa Studios, 3619 W Magnolia Boulevard in Burbank.
