This is some of the first footage from the Panasonic AG-AF 100 and its cool that that use a Canon 5D in comparison.
The AG-AF 100 looks good even without color grading so if you cant wait, then this 4/3rd sensor camera that can accept prime lenses, might tide you over till Scarlet comes out.

    I'm planning to get one.

But my only fear is that Scarlet S35 is out 6 months later.

Though something tells me that Scarlet S35 is going to be a 2012 camera.

This is not a valid fear. It's not something you need to worry about. The fixed on the other hand, it could be right around the corner. As soon as you see the first Epics shipping, it won't be long.

There's plenty of people still holding on for a 2010 Scarlet fixed release.

Sorry Michael but obsolete news because it was already mentioned here before at this tread

I wouldnt say it was obsolete news, its more straight to the point slightly different topic post with a link, instead of a bunch large pics and information with the link finally at the end of an exhausting post to read.

This is an interesting link to a low light test Phillip Bloom did with the AF-100

I don't understand posting non-Scarlet info in the Scarlet forum.

The Alfa footage looks pretty good, the car mount sequence especially shows they have made major improvements in rolling shutter performance. Still just looks like 8 bit video though.

The low light test looked pretty awful to me. No dynamic range to speak of, though it is obviously more sensitive than typical sub $10k video cameras.

seems to be a decent hold-over device as you'll still be able to sell it in 6mo for at least 70-80% of the purchase price... 5D2's are still holding a ton of value on eBay etc...

Hopefully I don't kill myself before Scarlet comes out ;)

    I love RED.
