  1. #1 Fair Market Price???
    Hi all,

We're thinking about selling our Red, but I'm interested to know what would be a fair price for our package.

It's UNEXECUTED and an M sensor. It's a low number, so Epic delivery would be sooner.

    Package includes:
    Red body
    Base Production Pack
    5.7 inch LCD
    Power Pack
    5x Batteries
    2x Raid Drives
    3x8 gig flash cards
    Red Cheese Plate
    Handle - Left
    Handle Mount
    Universal Mount
    15mm Adapter
    Bolt Set
    Focus Hook Set
    Drive Cable
    New Nikon Mount

For a grand total of about $28,000

Curious to see what you guys think.

    All best,
    Chris

    Ask Ketch.
One camera is a shoot... two or more is a production.

I would sell your drives now and get at least retail. The rest is harder as the value is dropping faster now that Epics are closer. Why would someone buy a non MX body just to turn in later for $17,500 credit. The non MX red1's are not making money any more and are all sitting waiting to be turned in. If you can get anything for the rest of those acc you should take it.

I would hold on to it and get the Epic then sell the Epic, most likely for a premium.

"The non MX red1's are not making money any more" Not True.

However, I think your suggestion to get the Epic is a good one.

Not a bad idea. Although, I think someone would buy now only to turn it in for the epic, because they'd be before about 6000 other redusers in line and could make a killing with the jump start.

Didn't see your reply when I posted, Erik. That was my thinking.

It looks like I need to contact Ketch!

Well it's eligeble for stage 3 Epic with all the goodies that comes "free" + it's 17500 $ trade in value, depending on exactly how much the free accessories are worth + the early Epic, I am sure you will get a pretty good amount of money, quite close to the original purchase price.

Like someone else suggested Ketch knows used R1s best, pm him.

Fair price is dictated by demand and supply ;)

With over 30 cameras now either sold and or leased with the option to purchase agreement, I have seen al different prices, also the time in which the cameras sale matters, now is still a good time, but longer along the way it will not be as much, especially when Scarlett starts shipping,m the value of the R1 will undeniably go down, however since your is still eligible for stage III, if you do not sale it, but do a Lease option to purchase sale agreement instead, then it will be worth the full 17.5k.

BUt email me or PM me, and lets see of I can assist you on this.

    Btw, thanks guys ;)
