I would like to ask the thing what i think about for long time now.
In regular telecine process u can scan negative in passes for highlighys and for shadows to get maxiumum range.
WIth NEW FLUT red color saince it would be also possible, but how to do it in scratch?
In old days ( up to 5 .0) Even if i chose some space and gamma ( like red space) i could recreate highlights as scratch has an acess to RAW ( this is why i have choosen it ) So the LUT did not actually limit the data.
Now is different, data are there but after i use any of bulid in LUTS the data in highlights or shadows are cliiped and not possible to recreate. I would like to use it in some how simulated passes , but how to do it?
I try everything , even the same shot with different settings as a 2nd scafold with matte applaied but get lost on that and achived not too good results.
WHat is the new process for wide range data from RED mx ? !3 stops is a far higher then rec 709 demend so we need to map it somehow to that space.
