I've got a Mac Pro with both Red Rocket and a Kona 3 card.

AFAIK the Rocket only does the decoding and debayer (but won't do SDI output).

Will the KONA 3 card send HD-SDI signal out to my grading monitor while the rocket is playing back footage?

We were able to get the Kona 3 to playback via SDI... sort of. The image was flipped and then playback was extremely buggy and slow. After a battery of tests to isolate the problem we uninstalled the Kona software and rebooted. The problem was solved.

So it appears that particular setup isn't working yet.
Please by all means chime in if you've been able to get the set up to work

I think the upside down video should be fixed soon if not already...

    Cheers
