  1. #1 Problems importing Clipfinder xml into Filemaker Pro
    Hi everyone,
I'd like to create a database of my stock footage using Filemaker Pro and Clipfinder. I export from Clipfinder using the "Project documentation" function (View>Project documentation, or cmd-P) and export an xml with xsl. However, when I try to import this into Filemaker pro (File>Import records>xml data source) I get the following error:

XML parsing error: expected end of tag 'META'

Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?

    Thanks

    Jean

Is the XSL designed to convert from the ClipFinder XML to FMP's XML format?
I'm on an old FMP version myself, but as I recall even the newer FMP versions still require an XSLT to covert foreign XML into FMP's columns'n'rows XML format.

Thanks for your reply John. Are there any example templates of an XSLT i can refer to in order to do the job?

I'm having the same problem. What are other's using to get the metadata into a Filemaker Pro database without having to manually type it in?
