Sure it can... minus the 12+ stops DR, aliasing free, moire free, well resolved image. Good luck getting a 4:4:2 10 bit signal out too... or 4:4:4 in April.

I can understand RED owners not thinking much of this camera... I can kind of understand Scarlet "waiters" feel it does not match the specs of their upcoming camera.

But a 550D owner can't start comparing the two (unless 24p/shallow DOF is all you care about). They are streets apart

Because the SONY Camera actually exists...and Scarlet has yet to be finalised as a product.
