Is there a Resolve Demo for Mac ?
I just installed a Nvidia GTX 285 (working better with CS5 than my older ATI 4870).

The downside is that the GTX 285 doesn't seem to work well with Color... so I'm looking at Resolve. Is there a Demo ?

There isn't a demo for Resolve.
It is awesome - BUT - you need to be sure you have all the hardware required for it. It is a painful software to use without a control surface too.

On my machine the GTX 285 is only about 4% slower than the ATI 4870 in Color.

My Red is called Vertov after a Russian avantgarde filmmaker, a pioneer in modern cinematography, a true revolutionary who later suffered under Stalin's bureaucracy.

You can borrow mine for couple of days, if you'd like.
But, as already mentioned, you must use the Wave and you need the Decklink as well.

jake- ha ! thanks for the offer :) but I'm a lousy colorist.

This is actually my personal machine that is out on loan to a client. They decided to cut in Premiere and had a GTX 285 installed to speed things up.
I figured in light of the new 285 I'd check into Resolve (for toying with my footage) but after a closer look it would require to much additional hardware. Color and RCX will serve me just fine for my now.

    Hi

l have a Mac Pro Quad-Core Intel Xeon 2.26 x 2 eight core memory 16GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 285 card running a Blackmagic Decklink HD Extreme 3D card l want to edit in CS5 using only native files will this system work with DaVinci or are there problems, l would get a tangent control surface.

    What are the real issues.

    Many thanks for any advice.
