I hate to burst your bubble, guys, but I think Jim was joking. Note the smiley.

Certainly the only sensible thing to do with titanium is to use less of it, and that would require a complete redesign of all the components so I doubt it would be feasible. Cool, but not feasible :).

The way I took it was that Jim was sorta half joking. What I mean is that he figured heck I'll throw out a number and if someone really wants to pay 20k more we'll do it plus they always like doing "cool" things and customizations. While titanium costs much more due to more expensive materials as well as added machining hours and cost of tools wearing out quicker I still have a feeling that there is quite a bit of room for some extra profit in there as well. Just my thoughts anyways, I am just guessing.

Unless you need to run over it with your Truck I would say that it is safe to be MORE then happy with a PL Mount in Titanium and not the all body ;)

Dear Red Support, I need to send my Epic in for repair. I ran over it with my truck. I assume this will be covered under warranty.

    Kind Regards,

You don't want a titanium body.

    Dear Custommer,

Please locate the power button on your Epic, press it once and continue using your camera to your enjoyment.

As to your truck, please send it to our Bomb Squad for evaluation and we will see if we can fix it or if it is a complete write-off.
