    Hi,

I connected Aja Hi5 3G (Input: Dual Link Output:HDMI) with Sony VPL HW15.
Also the converter is connected with usb in MAC Pro
The Rocket card is installed in MAC Pro.

When I run REDCINE-X I cannot any picture in the screen.
Is there anything more I have to set up?

    Pls advice

    Regards

Finally after a lot of tests, I've found the solution. it was a setting in the projector.
No I get picture, but I have another problem: From REDCINE-X I see only the top-left part of the full frame. I understand that I see 1080 (1/4 of 4K, the HDMI output of the converter), but how I can see the full image?
    Is there a setting in REDCINE-X ?

    Pls advice

what output setting do you use in redcine-x ? you click on the rocket symbol in redcine-x and then on video out setup and then you need to set it to 1920x1080 RGB 10bit....
then close redcine-x... reopen it and load footage.... often you need to first playback some seconds on the desktop, stop it, and then
hit the video out button left to the rocket symbol....
then the dual link hd-sdi is activated.... and you should see a scaled full frame.... not cropped picture.... look if something is activated in the framing / crop window.... set it to "fit both" no crop....
which version of redcine-x and rocketfirmware are you using ?

    best,

    Hi Reiner,

I've set video out in REDCINE-X 1920x1080 (many times), but I didn't close and re-open the program. Its a detail, probably an important one. I'll try it on Monday, now I'm out of the office.
Finally, I understand, that the AJA converter is not resizing the input signal. If the input is 4K, the output is 2K starting from top left, so the 1/4 of full frame is normal...
I'll do it on Monday and I'll let you know.

Thanks a lot for your help

You will not get a 4k signal out of the hd-sdi so far as i know.... 4k is only possible via the two dual dvi outputs....
find in the link below the newest versions of redcine-x, rocket driver and firmware....
first install the DRIVER.... then flash the card with the new firmware and then install redcine-x... follow exact the instructions..... read careful the instructions on the display...
