I am putting together a new DIT and post production edit setup and was wondering if there will be any conflicting issues due to interface or anything similar with the hardware I'm acquiring:
I'm getting a new 17" MacBook Pro.
-2.8GHz Intel Core i7.
-8GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM
-500 GB Serial ATA Drive @ 7200 rpm.
Soon as I get that, I'm sending it out to OWC to replace my optical drive with the OCW Data Doubler + Mercury 500GB SSD.
I also plan on acquiring the Mobile Rocket HBA Kit for on-set work and editing, rendering, transcoding.
Making these adjustments and acquiring the hardware specified above should not create any problems for me (considering I'll be using the new 1.8" SSD module and reader for the Epic), right?
