Are you planning to support in the future SDXC (up to 2 TB) memory cards ?

I don't think that any SDXC cards are available that have anywhere near enough sustained write speed, are there?

Jarred has been talking about CFast lately, it sounds like those will be the next media option for RED in the distant future.

Yeah the Cfast writing speed would reach 300Mb/s. !!!

Actually CFast is SATA-based and is 3Gbps with 6Gbps just being approved. So that's about 285MB/s and 575MB/s respectively. But those are just interface speeds, not the speeds of the actual media. Sad reality is that there are no FLASH media devices out there, small enough to fit inside a CF/CFast (let alone an SDXC) card that can come anywhere close to those data rates.

The technology will be here eventually, the real question is "when".

...I have yet to see any SDXC or SDHC media that can come anywhere close to the speeds already available in CF form.
