I try to not ask for favors, but do take advantage of them when they are kindly offered... Such as the Stage II Epic-X and the MX upgrade.

So on that note, What if for those of us intent on keeping our MX and having already committed to the Stage II deal by placing our deposits on count, were able to use the $1250 credit that would normally go towards the Epic-X purchase and let us use it towards the R1 SSD Module?

My logic, well, perhaps wishful and selfish thinking is that we are going to get to buy something Red later that costs $1500, and you already have our refundable deposit (which I do not want refunded:) ) on account. If we were to use the $1250 to buy the SSD module for our R1-MX, then some of us with limited funds @ this time (in other words, still saving for the Epic-X) could start down the path to SSD and have enough to justify buying some SSD modules.

This would also allow us to contribute back to the community by making RedRAIDs more available on the used market ;)

If the answer is no... no problem, as policy and agreements have already been put in place and agreed to by those of us who took the Epic-X Stage II and MX upgrade path. I promise not to throw a fit or tantrum, and continue on contributing in whatever positive manner I can.

Sorry for the long-winded request, but that is my nature.

Oh, and if this option were made available... I would need to check if Haley is in tomorrow so I can place my order for an SSD module, R1 SSD Module and a 1.8" RedStation RedMag :) Just sayin' :)

Oh, and Jim, get some sleep. We are all going to be very busy, very soon! :)

    Curran, absolutely correct of course.

Lack of sleep, insomnia on top of that and of course, wishful thinking :-)

Still, the $1250 credit would almost buy the upgrade.
