Just a warning Build 30.6.10 says in the release notes -

Resolved image capture error with 2K resolution recording at 117 – 120 fps.

This is not the case. I did a shoot the night before last where we shoot 2k 100fps. The next day upon closer inspection the highest contrast portions of the frame exhibited pixelization and loss of detail on every other frame. One frame is perfect, the next is screwy, etc.

I contacted Red and they told me they are aware of the issue, and it is fixed in the new Beta build. There is no note about this anywhere. My client is extremely unhappy, and I look like a jack ass. If there is a known issue in a release build that compromises a shoot, please send out an email guys.

    Not real happy about this.

Had the same problem with damaged footage on a 2k shoot...
Try to see when you do a half-debayer if the problem gets better..... not a good solution i know, but it made the footage usable in my case....
Second thing I saw was, that you be able to switch to 30fps in varispeed mode at RC36 in 4,5kWS mode on CF cards... got on the last card of this shoot lost frames... I switched from RC42 to RC36 and not to RC28... so this should be solved in a coming firmware release, that you not be able to switch the varispeed on with this setting....

    best,

Hmm. So 98 views and no response from Red. I lost a client and a bunch of mortgage payments over this and Red knew about it and didn't tell camera owners. I hope Red does better in the future. There is no excuse for this shit.
