I do really like REDAUS ...eg. www.redaus.net .. just because it's easy to spell.
Might look too much like 'Australia' than 'Australasia' though ? I guess if we have a aus user website it doesn't have to have the same name as the user group ? um..
The other choice instead of Australiasian is to use Oceania to cover the same regional area.
.... if the group of red oceanic guys / and girls split from the downunder red users group, we can have a GROG & DRUG night......hey I'm just trying to help!
David, great to talk to you on the phone today. I think we covered some good points.
All, (As has been mentioned) I am interested in setting up an Australiasian/Oceanic/Pacific Red User web board for all of us "down under". I'd like to know what you all think would be useful/desirable in a web board. The way I see it, we can use a community to organise and share information not only about Red's technical details, but also about things that are relevant to us as a community. Ie, local events, user Footage/Films, Seminars, employment, anything else ..
I'd like to start it off by collating (hopefully with some help), some of the more important technical information from RedUser.net (With Jarred's permission of course), in order to get together a bit of a cente of knowledge that we can build on. I feel like a format similar to RedUser.net's own (vBulletin), would be an appropriate way to start. Of course, RedUser.net will always be the first port of call for all of us re: news and a wider scope forum, but what I'm suggesting would be something aimed at our local community user needs.
I'd love to know what you all think of this, I feel that something along those lines could benifit us all. Please feel free to add ideas, requests, etc. Or to just let me know if you think it's a good idea or not.
Also, keep coming with the User Group names.. We can use this for both the User Group, and the Web board..
My pick so far is REDPACIFIC .. eg, www.redpacific.net
Cheers,
Seth.
