Would anyone know how to navigate the menus such that exposure assist is configured into a key we can hit on the camera or LCD?

Been trying to figure it out...

    Assignable Button Thread

Can't be done but has been requested that Exposure Assist be moved to button 1 on the side of the camera in place of Auto WB. The Red LCD has no control functions for the camera or assignable buttons.

I don't really see the point of the AWB being on the front of the cam. If you hit it you still need to adjust it at the back of the camera. The other issue we found that if you did hit AWB your tint values are changed and they do not reset once going back to preset daylight/tungsten which can cause confusion when monitoring. Yes you have to reset your tint values manually when going from AWB to preset color temps.

I'd like to see AWB off this button or have the ability to disable it.
Red should also consider raised surrounds for these buttons to prevent accidental engagement.

I'd like to see the addition of a RCP (remote control panel) which would be a 7" LCD with full menu controls for the camera that could be mounted on the camera or cabled

The EVF does have these controls:

    Stuart English:
The COLOR parameter (monochrome or false color - your choice) is currently toggled on/off by the upper user key on the RED-EVF. The METER parameter (waveform, histogram or focus assist - your choice) is currently toggled on/off by the lower user key on the RED-EVF. The MAGNIFY function is currenly toggled on/off by the solo user key on the RED-EVF.

Totally- hate to resort to something as inelegant as putting tape over the white balance button on the side but it's so close to record and focus assist I see no other choice.

    Thanks Rocket,
I agree, I wan't to use the exposure assist but it's just too cumbersome to get their through the menu while you are trying to shoot in a production environment. I think white balance should be elsewhere as well, as I hit it accidentally a few times.
