These fkn morons stole the rarest gem. What were they thinking, resale?

On the other hand it's probably being dissected as we speak.

I hope these sons of a bitches are brought to justice and punished to the fullest extent!

Thanks God you're all safe. As others suggested try to let it go.

I had my camera stolen in the middle of shooting my first feature movie while I was sleeping...
Had to buy a new one and finish the movie. Very sad.

You never let the community down Mark ! We're all 100% behind you.
Take care and try to move on. We are all happy that you and your loved ones are unharmed.

Oh boy, itīs spreading faster than wildfire on the Internet.

Those morons will have a hard time selling it, unless they have no clue what they have and one can buy a pretty cheap EPIC on a flea market somewhere in Europe soon.

Mark, I am terribly glad that you and your family have been unharmed!

As for this act of cowardice... what is left to be said?

Somebody clearly wants the inside scoop on red tech... every time red is about to release a camera somebody steals one. Very suspicious...

Wow, that's just too bad :/

I've been robbed before, also in days that were supposed to be the best of my life (my 18yr birthday just after I left Paul McCartney concert!)... We always feel invaded and just impotent...

I'm in Europe right now, was in Nantes past week and now I'm in Germany... I'm going to lots of camera shops and rent houses! I also have a great contact with some French filmmarkers ... Will try to spread the news...

Jim, there aren't any ways to block only this camera or track it in the next firmware realeases? I'm pretty sure that who stole it knows by now what he have in hands... There was the time when this scums sold stuff for nothing... But nowadays it's pretty easy to find things on the internet... And if they knows, they'll probably not sell it that soon... But will not keep forever...

I just hope everything works out, and I'll keep my eyes wide open for it, also spreading the history to my friends around here... And thanks god your family is ok... I've been in front of a gun, and I know that it's something you don't forget that easily :(

Best wishes and hopefully you'll be able to enjoy the rest of your holidays Mark! Remember you have the most important by your side: Your family ;)

Gutted, I recently had my panasonic gh1 stolen with some lenses from my home. That was awful (I also had family and children in the house).

Now I know a gh1 is no EPIC ! but i had just spent all my spare cash on it.

Damn theives, very glad to hear nobody was hurt.

Hope you and your family are not too shacken.

Wish you a better new year..

I feel for you, Mark. I have had my home broken into, and while the items they stole were bad enough, the damage to the idea of what is "home" is far worse.

Home is a place where you and your family can get away from the world, relax, and "live". Even if you aren't in your "house", this concept of home is something really important that is carried with us, no matter if it is a house, trailer, or hotel. A space that is different and safe from the world that you can call your own.

When someone breaks into your home, that concept is violated. Can you truly be at "home" if you feel like you are being watched or having to prepare for unexpected "guests"?

Like all things, it will pass with time, but I am so sorry for you and your family...especially your children. It just goes to show you how terrible thieves are: you work as hard as you do, holding the most coveted camera in the world, and it only takes one night and some terrible people to take that away. I so sorry, bud!
