RED Rocket driver won't install in MCP 17"

Hi

I have a strange problem. I have a 2010 17" MCP that I am attempting to install the latest Rocket driver into (v 1.3.5). Problem is that even after the installer gives me a success notice and I go through the customary shut down and wait 1 min. and restart the driver does not show up in my mac info extensions pane. Hence I can not get my mobile rocket to work....Really strange thing is the .kext file is showing up in my System/library/extensions folder. Dang thing doesn't seem to want to take.

anyone one out there with this problem? and i have repaired permisions as well with no luck.

did you contact RED support first? try emailing deanan@red.com?

Should really give them a crack before posting this in the COMPLAINTS section. ;)

Well... yes, I have been going through tech support with Jonathan at RED and Devon at Maxx for about a month now. I am using Red User as a last resort really. I am hoping that someone with a similar set up can confirm that either they have not had this problem or yes they have and here is the fix. I am thinking it is a driver installation problem and as such maybe an MCP issue. Thoughts?
