Just got a GoPro HD Hero a few weeks back and i've had a blast with it. Really good quality visuals from something so small and tough (as long as you use it outside on a sunny day/around midday on an overcast day)
Still, i'm left wondering how I could intercut it with some RED footage I have...
...which got me thinking about a RED built crash camera.
No onboard debayering. Fixed wide lens. 2/3" or smaller MX sensor. Water/shock proof casing. Controlled via RedMote. Records to CF.
Resolution? I'd be happy with 2K but we know RED don't swing that way.
Let's say 3K@30fps, cropped 2K@60fps. Redcode 20:1
MAX twice the size of the gopro (though knowing how much they crammed in an Epic I wouldn't be shocked if it was half the size of the gopro haha)
$1,000 in 5-6 years time... Thoughts?
Once the Scarlet/Epic line have been shipping for a while would you consider making a camera like this, Jim?
