Agreed! And it'd be sweet if they did something like Lightroom Cinema or something as a color grading option to complement Premiere...

I know you can import and work on video, so adding R3D to Photoshop would be great. Not sure if RED is going to store stills as R3D and how the folder structure will be created to identify stills or video.

You have already great 3rd party plugins that work like a charm.

Jim stated you select stills or motion mode. That suggests it will be a separate file structure - which makes perfect sense really.
    I make stuff.

since Lightroom added support for video file organization and tagging in Lr3, it's only a matter of time for it to support raw video developing and organizing.

I absolutely love Lightroom and can't wait to see what RED and Adobe can put together.

I don't think stills will be a different file structure, R3D is Red's raw file format. May have lower compression options though. I think it is more about different menu modes from motion.
Adobe is being pretty quick about incorporating new Red SDK's into its software.
There is an option in the recent versions of RCx to export a single frame r3d from a motion sequence too.

That sounds great. To be able to shoot full frame and each frame has the potentional to be a high quality photo in its own right definitely seperates RED from any other DLSR cameras that shoot video.

And you can also export each still as a TIF file too.

Not so much a surprise, I don't think, as a helpful necessity in dealing with photo-centric programs like Photoshop, Lightroom, Aperture, etc. that don't offer R3D support.

Which begs the question...how long until they do?

    Tick tock...
