We won`t make 1030 dovetail again, because it is too narrow that harder to put bridge plate back.
We only make wide dovetail now, it is much better to work, if you want to use our dovetail on 1030 head directly, we can attach a lower dovetail for 1030, it cost $100.

This is a good system we have one here.

No disrespect, but this seems to be a Rube Goldberg approach. The ET dovetail is simple, clean, works perfectly. The idea is to create less bits, not more.

Awesome!!! We'll buy two. We had asked ET about this back when we got our EPIC-X, but I guess it took a while for enough feedback to filter in. Strength in numbers. Thanks everyone who spoke up about this and especially thanks to ET (3T).

Thanks for your suggestion, please remember, we have made narrow 1030 dovetail before. I`m not sure you have used wide dovetail, in my experience, mounting bridge plate on wide dovetail is much easier than narrow 1030 dovetail.
You can put the bridge plate on wide dovetail, then slide in, like this:

With narrow dovetail you have to "aim" it.
So we just make wide dovetail now.

The surface of Allstar dovetail is much stronger then ET`s , if you don`t trust it, you can try to scrape ours and ET`s by screwdriver.

Mine was simply a comment, not a suggestion. I understand your desire to sell me on your product, but this thread was discussing the ET dovetail, not yours. If I wanted to use a wide dovetail like your unit, I suppose I might go ahead and get the O'Connor 2575 and be done with it. But my desire is for a smaller, more streamlined unit, and the ET dovetail does that for me. In my opinion, it is better designed, and more functional. I have never had an issue mounting my camera on it, ever. Never had to "aim" it, just put the camera on and get to business. It's perfect and well-made.

But that's what makes America and capitalism great. We can choose the products that are to our own liking and needs. No government telling us what we must buy. It's why Baskin-Robbins has 31 flavors. I simply prefer the ET dovetail to the Allstar product.

Hi Mark, you misunderstand my intention, I don`t care about my business so much really.
    I`ll leave this ET-only thread.

The last email exchange between Vivian and myself was on April 18 and at that point she said May 23 was the date. Wait, that was yesterday! I'll send her another note and see what the ETA is now.
