    Sorry for the delayed response, but heard back from Vivian on 5/24 and she said, "Just got confirmation that they will be ready in 3 weeks. We apparently had some setbacks in the machine-shop."

    Except this new "Micron" dovetail doesn't appear to be compatible with Arri standard dovetail hardware so they have brought back Ocon 1030 compatibility but now we have to buy new bridge plates. This isn't quite what I was hoping for. All I wanted was a new run of the old 1030 Arri standard dovetails. I think I'll pass on this new Micron thing.

    Yes, didn't see that at first but noticed it after the initial announcement. Does dampen the enthusiasm a bit. I think the micron product line is a good idea, but it would have been better if the dovetail interfaced with the old as well as the new. That's what I had hoped for, just not what was delivered.
