Once the RED-One video is downloaded into a Windows7 PC, and an external hard drive, is it possible to also save it on discs, like Blue-ray or DVDs ?

    Thanks.

Well... yes but its a bad idea.

    Assuming RedCode 42

4.7 GB DVD will hold like 1 1/2 minutes at a time.

a 25GB Blue Ray is like 10 minutes os so.

I really recommend 3.5" (desktop) hard drives over eSATA or another very fast connection.
