  1. #1 Captain America: The First Avenger
Besides watching the big game during the Super Bowl I get really excited about the commercials, especially the new trailers. With that being said the new Captain America movie looks great. I always have been a big fan and this one looks like it can be one of the better superhero movies like Spiderman 3 (just kidding) What does everyone think?

Woooow, I'm so fail. I didn't even notice it was the same actor.

However, I'm sure the Captain America movie will be rather amazing. The nerd in me has been pleased with the recent Marvel movies.

Yeah, I thought it looked really cool.

Although to be honest I'm more excited about Transformers 3. Yes I know, "Revenge of the Fallen" wasn't very good, but I think Bay has learned his lesson.

But back on topic, I think they should have made the Cap trailer more of a tease, and not shown so much footage. This way it looks a bit desperate...

BUT what I saw looked really cool, so fingers crossed.

I haven't got my hopes up for Thor and Green Lantern, so I'm hoping this will satisfy my Super-Hero appetite for 2011...

Let's face it though...if we could trade the existence of Captain America, Thor, Green Lantern, X-Men First Class etc. for an earlier release of The Dark Knight Rises...we all would.

    I wouldn't.

Though, the next 2 summers in movies look to me like they will be amazing. My tastes are entirely for action movies, and 2011 and 2012 should fill my need for explosions quite nicely....

Don't feel bad. Most of the human race has forgotten those two abysmal Fantastic Four movies. I just saw the trailer for First Class and all I can say is that it looks like the X-Men franchise is in good hands so we should be getting some good films from that property in the coming years.

I my opinion, everything except Super 8 looked bland and unoriginal. I was kind of excited about Cowboys and Aliens but the Super bowl teaser was not impressive and I am starting to think that it will bomb, especially with the hokey title.

What can I say, I am all superhero'd out. There are way way too many of these films coming in the next year or two. Think about it, we have The Dark Knight Rises, Thor, The Green Lantern, Captain America, The Avengers, X Men First Class, Spiderman reboot, Snyder's Superman, Aronofsky's Wolverine plus a bunch more I am probably forgetting. Enough already, stop making so many superhero films! I am fine with Nolan and Darren throwing their hats into the ring but Marvel and DC are talking about making movies out of their lesser known characters and seriously, why are they already rebooting Spiderman?

I will see Pirates because it is shot on Red but come on, do we really need another Pirates film?

And don't even get me started about Trashformers, that needed to die after the first film. Hell, it needed to die the moment Bay said to the studio heads that he wanted to make a movie out of the Transformers toy line.

I probably sound like a film snob but I am not, I love popcorn flicks and foreign pictures the same but I am tired of all the remakes, reboots, sequels and unoriginal ideas. Has Hollywood seriously run out of ideas? I don't know about you but 2011 does not look very promising at all and I expect ticket sales to be even lower than they were last year.

"Touched by a masterpiece, a person begins to hear in himself that same call of truth which prompted the artist to his creative act. When a link is established between the work and its beholder, the latter experiences a sublime, purging trauma."- Andrei Tarkovsky

Haha, 8 comments down and nobody seemed to have *disliked* the Capt America superbowl trailer. Or the Thor one.

Since we spent an insane amount of blood sweat and tears working on those superbowl spots, it's a bit of a relief passing the Reduser "tough crowd" test!

I dislike that it made me interested in it. Now I have to wait for its release... Isn't it bad enough that everyone on these forums is awaiting the next-gen RED products?
