    Hi,

I'm waiting for the scarlet fixed to be released and looking for a perfect shoulder solution. I wonder whether ET Mantis (http://www.elementtechnica.com/products/view.php?p=29) will be fully compatible with scarlet fixed. My personal preference is not to use EVF, is there any way to mount Red LCD on top of that rig in a comfortable viewing position?

    Thanks

I think the RED ARM provided with the RED LCD will allow to put it in the right position.

If you want a shoulder rig, maybe you should wait for the RED GUNNER to be released ?

Yeah, also...that thing is WAY overpriced...If you are going to spend that much, i suggest wait for the RED Gunner. But if not, I know a shoulder rig...for like 350-450 bucks that can well handle the scarlet and plus some weight. :)

RED arm and a Bogen nanoclamp will allow you to put it pretty much anywhere...you might want the longer lcd cable tho...

I believe by the time Red Gunner is released, it will be priced even higher than ET Mantis. Of course, I hope that I'm wrong.

I wonder, will the top of the Scarlet itself will be threaded so one could attach Red Arm directly on top of the camera... That way nanoclamp won't be necessary.

As a side note, I believe that most scarlet users will gladly use redvolts and not red bricks, so I wonder how does one properly balance ET Mantis without red brick? Simply putting dead weight on the back?

    Not sure I will spend 2 000 $ for a shoulder rig to use it with a 6 000 $ cam... 1000-1500 $ will be the max.
