And to echo Dustin above, would especially like to match Red One's 4K, 3K and 2K 16:9 FOV framing modes - what framerates can we get with those at Redcode 36 equivalent compression?

Also, being in PAL land, very interested in framerates at multiples of 25 for those flicker, rolling bar issues with 50Hz location practical lighting.

    Thanks!

What I would like is to choose a FOV, resolution, aspect ratio, redcode to match a Red MX at 4K, 3K and 2K 16:9, and then know what's the maximum framerate (multiple of 25) at that setting.

The Red One operation manual has a handy table covering varispeed options at various resolutions, redcodes etc.

Just flipping through settings on the EPIC M today. Is there any chance in future firmware releases that we could see framing modes that mirror the MX based cameras? For matching purposes, it would be a nice feature for a 2 camera setup.

4k HD mode is the closest to what you are asking for.

Is there a plan for firmware update to offer 16x9 5k or 4.5k?

Really hoping for a 3K at 240 fps option too. Or however many fps we can get at 3K.

2K at 2.4:1 is not quite high enough res...

5KFF is essentially 16x9 with the tiniest of crops. Has been fine for us for any 16x9 needs. We typically shoot 2:1 and frame fro 16x9 to have a little extra breathing room if needed.

4KHD is the only 4K option right now. It's the same QuadHD as the REDOne in direct Quad scale from 1080.

16:9 5K would be really nice for work that sometimes does't have the post workflow for extensive re-framing. Sometimes you don't use the rawpower of red, and shoot something and render it directly to 16:9 Proress 422 1920x1080, and the end product finishes in that format.so a true 16:9 format would be good to have.
