    Jim,
Does this mean they will never be greater than 96fps or are you just referring to the current build?

BTW- The Epic is a dream camera...just love it!

Okay, you know what? I usually just lurk and soak in the info, but honestly, that was without question, EPIC. Technical talk aside, the images just plain look unbelievably good. I never thought that birds at sea could be so durn captivating.

The fact that it was a good edit didn't hurt either :)

I love the fact that you were able to show this stuff to Godfrey Reggio on a 15' screen and his reaction. Big props to you dude :)

That is the technical limit of the system. You can always scale down a bit for higher frame rates.

Jim, will there be anything to "gain" at all going from full sensor 5120x2700 down to 16:9 4800x2700?.. maybe in available compression ratios or something?

No advantage to frame rates (determined by sensor height) and slight advantage to REDCODE with any given media. Faster media in the future opens up all frame rates at the lowest compression.

I see. Are the 256GB SSDs identical in terms of capability with the 128GBs?

In terms of speed, they are pretty close...

Wow, thanks Jim for all these clarifications. This is becoming quite an informative thread.

Also, I'm soooooooooooo excited for the timelapse functions to be enabled and see what Tom does with that (and at night) with a wide angle Master prime :)
