Soooooo jealous it's not even funny. Tom, I really wish the time lapse functions were enabled now or very soon -- a fully done project by you with the Epic and Leicas would be one of the ultimate ways to showcase these amazing cinema tools. :)

As shooter working on my own projects this is exactly what I was hoping for. I'm all about "lean & mean" these days.

Being able to get world class motion picture images easily and without the major equipment related logistical overhead is forever going to change the way I shoot in a big (or, uh, EPIC-ally small) way.

On kind of a funny side note, I have spent a lot of time out in the field now with Epic, and nearly all the people and other photographers we run across think the Epic is a medium format camera.... Ha! It's stealthy like the early days of the 5D2.

I'd be interested to find out what the highest frame rates are for 4K.

    Un Real.
I love this pic. I've stuffed a stripped down R1 into a backpack, in fact I'll be shooting in Italy in May that way, but I really want to do it with the Epic instead. Sooooo jealous too.

I love the backpack pic. Having tried this on my boat up in Eagle River on the chain of lakes , I learned that the LCD face is a tough thing to protect in a bag or backpack. Jacek is happily repairing it now for me over at Optitek. I would love to hear what the seasoned veterans do when they want to pack the camera fully rigged in a pack or bag. How do you guys/girls protect the face?

About 20% higher for any given format ratio.

Yeah I was out in NYC with Ketch and Joseph on saturday and people would stare at the camera and a few photographers inquired not quite knowing what it was.
They were all familiar with RED but thought it was a still camera :)

The walk around-ability with the EPIC is fantastic, so small but what you get is unparalleled.

    Tom,
just out of curiosity, have you run a side-by-side test comparing 65mm, Imax and Epic?
