Lol, Shawn. But that was already announced by Jim months ago.

  3. #13 Sorry Shawn
Once I get work together comparing RED and FILM workflows, I will be making all my R3D files accessible, circa 90GB if I can find the place and bandwidth.

Sorry to cut your money making idea :-)... but this wont be until end of this year or early next year.... so you can make a buck before then :-)

Shawn I'm sure there will still be a market for your files, especially if you were to include some FCP workspaces, REDCine files and a short tutorial on how to use your project examples.

You could call it a pipeline in a box.

Not every studio has a technical director or equivalent to munch through workflows and develop a company's pipeline.

You might even want to have example pre-transcoded files with REDCine workspaces etc for both offline and online workflows through FCP.

Setting up a client pipeline demonstration is a lot of work! The ability to just copy/paste it off of a DVD and have some pretty footage with a cooking show "and now we'll just pull this out from under the counter all done..." style to the examples would be mint.

    Shawn, great idea!

If you could add some well lit greenscreen footage as well...

    Cheers,
