As we work with the wavepanel since it's market entry we'd like to do a little step forward along with a new davinci suite. We ve two options .. staying with the wave ore jumping to the eclipse (we don't like to spend 30k for a panel for now). Would it be worth the cost. Some more controls and more robust and responsive feel would be great. Any experience of someone who knows both? It is worth the money?

I've ordered the Eclipse just recently. Have never used a control surface, and from reading others experiences with the Wave I can't say I was impressed. Nor was I impressed when I saw how much the colorist in the FXPHD DAV201 course is struggling through the page up/down menus.
From what I can see in the JL Cooper PDF on the Resolve website, it has most of the controls I need just a click away. Otherwise, I'd map my Logitech G13 to do some funky stuff the Eclipse can't do.
I'll keep you posted when I get the panel in place.

I have both. While your comment re: Wave has some merits, the Eclipse has so many unlabeled buttons (plus you cannot do any remapping based on your needs) that it will take you few productions to master it, were the Wave can be learned in way less time.
The first week I received and used the Eclipse, I was so frustrated that I even was very close to go back to the Wave.
So, my advise is that when you decide to acquire it, set aside enough time to learn it before committing it for grading a production.

The package with the Eclipse is out for delivery and will arrive any time now. Will write my first impressions with it asap.

So the panel finally arrived. So far, so good.
+ Robust. Built in some metal.
+ Looks nice on the table
+ Portable without the balls flying in all directions when you lift it to go and carry under the arm (Like it did with my two day trial with the Euphonix)
+ Loads of features within a click of a button (or two)
+ The rings and balls are AWESOME
- I wish I had more of the general controls for hue, luma and saturation qualifier in one "page"
- I wish I could learn this asap Matrix style!
- No way of looping multiple clips like on the Resolve panel
Note, this list is made up by three hours of use. Trial and error. I love it so far. Couldn't be happier with the choice I made.

Remember, if it is for Resolve, no re-mapping is available. For all other main known software, such as Color, the included software will allow you to add one or more bridges and program them as it fits you.
